IT ISN'T TOO EARLY, YOU KNOW.....
The next Trans-Atlantic Fan Fund campaign will be to send a delegate from North America to the 37th World Science Fiction Convention (SEACON '79) to be held at Brighton, U.K., on August 23-27, 1979.
NOW is the time to start supporting your candidate whoever he or she may be.
The NOMINATING Period for the next TAFF campaign will open on 1 October, 1978, and close on 30 November, 1978. The VOTING period will run from 1 December, 1978, through 14 April, 1979.
TAFF candidates must have five nominators; three from North America and two from Europe. Nominations should be accompanied by a "platform" of 100 words or less telling all of fandom why this candidate should be the one elected to go to Seacon. A good faith bond in the form of a $5 donation to the fund must also accompany the nomination. No, it isn't too early. If you know a fan who you think would make a good TAFF delegate, one who would be a welcome addition to the British worldcon, one who is deserving of the honor, now is the time to start rounding up nominators. October isn't that far away.
